German digital minister accused of using AI for speeches and articles

German Federal Digital and Transport Minister Carsten Vildberg has been accused of using artificial intelligence to draft multiple articles, speeches, and parliamentary addresses, according to an analysis by German newspaper DIE ZEIT using the AI detection tool Pangram. The analysis found that among 30 speeches, one was entirely AI-generated and seven were AI-assisted, with the minister's office confirming that AI is used as a tool but emphasizing human responsibility for review. Some experts caution that detection software may not be entirely reliable.
