The FBI built a small town to simulate cyberattacks

The FBI has built a 22,000-square-foot replica town inside a building in Huntsville, Alabama, called the Kinetic Cyber Range, opened in February 2025. The facility simulates real-world cyberattacks for training law enforcement, featuring a convenience store, gas station, hospital, and a fake power company with real networks and servers. It has trained over 1,400 students, including FBI personnel and partners from other agencies.
