Google updates Pixel to Android 17, Gemini 3.5 Flash underperforms in Android Bench

Google released the June Pixel Drop, updating compatible Pixel phones to Android 17 and introducing generative AI features like video generation via Gemini Omni, alongside Wear OS 7 for Pixel Watches. Separately, Google updated its Android Bench ranking, where its new Gemini 3.5 Flash model scored lower than its predecessor for Android code writing and costs three times more, while OpenAI's GPT-5.5 topped the list.
